LEO DISTRICT 412 SECOND COUNCIL MEETING REPORT,




LEO CLUB OF HARARE WEST

MEMBERSHIP
The currently has 16 members with a few being active members. New members just finished high schools have just joined us.

FINANCES
Administration-$14 400 000. 00
Charity- $00-00 The club held a Sight First Street Collection which raised $9 million dollars which was donated towards the Lions Sight First Project
District Dues- The Club is not in good standing at District level as well.

TWINNING
The club maintained twinning links with Chiredzi, Redcliff, UB, NUST, Gweru Omega, Peterhouse and prospective Leo Club of SOS Herman Gemeiner from Bindura.

PROJECTS
=On 6 October, Visited St Josephs House for Boys with the Lions and made a donation of few goodies including, sweets, maputis, freezits, drinks, and crisps among others. The Leos took an opportunity to tour the home as well as see the orphans
-On 13 October, The club members held Sight First Street Collection held on 13 October where they where stationed at Avondale shops which raised $9 million dollars which was donated towards the Sight First Campaign.
-On 19 October, Visited Prince Edward School Friday 19 October to give a talk on Leoism which resulted in the formation of a Leo Club at PE; however the final procedure which requires the sponsoring Lions is yet to be done.
-On 19 October, Attended District Governor Lion Ray Sibanda visit to Harare Lions Clubs which was held at Lions Club of Mabelreign Den. Leo Chris had an opportunity to meet the governor and Lions from around Harare as well as give a presentation on Leo’s activities in Harare.
On 24 November, We held a joint Christmas party for the disabled and orphaned children of St Josephs House for Boys and St Giles Rehabilitation which was held at St Josephs House for Boys with most of the Leos helping in the kitchen and feeding the children

FUTURE PROJECTS
The first half of the Leoistic year has been mainly on reviving the club, no we have set the remainder of the year to serve the community by undertaking various projects as we now have a reliable membership.
